New Zodiac Signs 2011

With the revelation of the new zodiac signs 2011, the entire world has woken up to a shocking discovery. Who we were, just few hours ago, our beliefs, our horoscope traits, everything has changed. Perhaps this change is not something each of us will feel because of the new zodiac signs, due to the 13th astrological sign, there definitely is a change. Since this news became public, many people, who have inked themselves proudly with their supposedly zodiac signs, have suffered the most. But not just them because all our lives we have been taught and understood that we belong to a particular zodiac sign. And now, all of a sudden, it has changed the way we function and believe. The announcement of new zodiac signs 2011 has made us wonder in amaze and raised objection, nonetheless. Since there is such a confusion as to how all of this came to be, why don't we look at the new zodiac signs 2011; and more strongly on how the 13th sign, Ophiuchus (the serpent holder), was discovered.

The 13th Zodiac Sign

A huge debate has been stirred up because the zodiac signs changed. But how did this 13th zodiac sign, Ophiuchus, appear all of a sudden. This proclamation was made by astronomer Parke Kunkle who stated that the change in zodiac signs is possible due to the change in the Earth's alliance. Since the Earth and the Sun keep moving on a steady pace, this alteration was inevitable. But this change didn't occur overnight. 3,000 years ago, the astrologers had assigned 12 signs of zodiac to various period of years. And now since the Earth's position has shifted in relation to the Sun, the new zodiac signs 2011 have appeared. Keeping these facts in mind, you must be wondering, "How does that affect us?"

It all depends if you follow the Western or Eastern astrology.Publish Post There are 2 zodiacs - tropical and sidereal. With tropical zodiac, which is followed in the West, the signs are established on seasons and with this new revelation, there appears to be no change in their belief system. As for the sidereal zodiac, which is following in the East, the signs established on constellations and hence it includes the Ophiuchus sign. So when we talk about the debate, in actuality, it depends on which zodiac system you wish to follow and accept.

Horoscope Change 2011

Many people, just like you and me, are asking to themselves and searching online, "Has my zodiac sign changed?" Due to Ophiuchus, the Serpentarius zodiac sign, many of us belong to a completely new zodiac sign. Does that mean the astrological signs and meanings don't really hold the same value to us? Or are we still who we were before these new zodiac signs 2011? Well, this debate may not have a limit and perhaps, not everyone will agree to this change. No matter what it is, the truth is that the existence of Ophiuchus does change our alignment of zodiac signs. Here's a table that will show you the horoscope change 2011.

Top tips for talking with your boss

One of the most challenging areas of the workplace is communication. It can often literally make or break your career. What you say to your superiors shapes their impressions of you, and in turn can mean the difference between being promoted – or being overlooked. While not all bosses are the same when it comes to communication, there are some general dos and don’ts to keep in mind. Here are five of them.

1. Do share your ideas
If you have a suggestion for a process change or potential improvement, don’t be afraid to share it. Bosses appreciate employees with initiative and imagination, and they are almost always open to ways to help the business run better. You’ll stand out from the crowd as someone who’s innovative and committed to the company’s success, two qualities that can significantly boost your career and your professional reputation.

2. Don’t wait until the last minute
In business, surprises are generally not appreciated. So when you have important news to share, whether it’s good or bad, don’t delay – let your boss know as soon as possible. Although it can be difficult to share unpleasant news, you can bet your boss would rather hear it sooner rather than later.

Alerting your boss to potential problems gives them a chance to react and hopefully defuse a situation before it escalates.

3. Do ask for what you want
It’s easy to grumble and complain about things you’re unhappy about without taking any action. But rather than suffer in silence, speak up! Bosses are people too, and they generally want to have happy and satisfied employees – because happy, satisfied employees are more productive. If you’re interested in taking on a different assignment, or changing your work schedule to better meet deadlines, you have everything to gain by simply asking. Of course, to increase your chances of getting what you want, try to frame your request in terms that relate to the business – “I think changing my schedule would allow me better to coordinate my work with our Chicago office – would that be possible?”

4. Don’t say yes to every request
Employees often feel pressured to go along with everything their superiors suggest. It takes courage to tell your boss you don’t agree – but sometimes, it’s the best course of action. If you truly don’t feel that a proposed project or timeline is realistic or beneficial, it’s better to voice your dissenting opinion rationally and openly. And if you’re already overburdened with work, saying “yes” to taking on a new project is only going to further strain you and potentially even negatively impact the quality of your work. So don’t be afraid to say “no” – but try to provide alternatives and compromises.

5. Don’t talk badly about your co-workers
Rivalry and bad feelings occasionally happen within an office, but pointing fingers and laying blame on colleagues just makes a bad situation worse. Office politics can be difficult to navigate, but bringing your boss into it can often make a bad situation worse. If you’re having problems with a co-worker, try to address the situation yourself before escalating it to your superior. And if you simply must speak to your boss about it, describe the situation as objectively and dispassionately as possible, and avoid an emotionally charged discussion.

Knowing just the right thing to say in every situation is almost impossible. But following these general guidelines will hopefully help you feel more confident when communicating with your boss. Just remember: bosses are people too, and almost everyone appreciates being dealt with in an honest, direct, thoughtful way

Tips for smarter meetings

No matter how big your business is, you probably spend a lot of time in meetings. There's no need to suffer – there are plenty of ways to use IT to make meetings more efficient.

  1. Consider your options. Do you really need this meeting at all? Could you replace it with an email update or a chat over instant messaging?
  2. Use mind maps. A mind map is a way to think through an agenda in a more creative way.
  3. Count the cost. Add up the hourly salary cost of everyone attending the meeting and multiply by the duration. Does it represent value for money?
  4. Set standards. Set common expectations about how your business does meetings. Everyone should know how to chair a meeting, how to take minutes, how to brainstorm etc. You should also set clear expectations about arriving on time.
  5. Schedule breaks. Don't let long meetings continue without giving people a chance to take a break. Schedule the start and end time of the breaks and don't let people wander off for a coffee, cigarette or email break.
  6. Have meetings standing up. Discomfort is a great way to focus people's minds and prevent unproductive conversation.
  7. Hold meetings before lunch. Similarly, people are unlikely to tolerate overrun if they're hungry.
  8. Schedule shorter meetings. Agendas always seem to expand to fill the time allotted to them. It's too tempting to schedule meetings for an hour or half an hour because that's the default in Outlook and other diary software. Try scheduling different times and different durations.
  9. Finish meetings early. Try to finish at quarter to the hour so people can get to another appointment that starts on the hour.
  10. Ten-minute meetings. Try scheduling ten-minute meetings. Send out a very tight agenda and all the supporting documents in advance. Give everyone a brief opportunity to have their say and then move to a decision.
  11. Replace routine meetings. Status reports and so on don't need meetings. Don't let a 'same time, same place' meeting carry on after it has done its job.
  12. Deflect distractions. If an issue comes up that is interesting but off-topic, note it on a whiteboard or in the minutes so that it doesn't get lost. And then move on with the agenda.
  13. Shorter minutes. There's usually no need to record who said what; just what decisions you took and who is going to do what.
  14. Manage talkative people. Don't put talkative people opposite the person chairing the meeting – that way they won't always get eye contact and start talking. Don't be afraid to challenge repeat offenders (one to one, outside the meeting as a courtesy). “I'm always interested in your views but perhaps with a bit of preparation you could be more succinct in meetings.”
  15. Get everyone to contribute. If you are running the meeting, always ask quiet people for their views. They might have a critical contribution but lack confidence to speak.
  16. Use a timer. Make sure each meeting room has a large clock with a second hand on it. If time is short, set time limits on individual contributions or a strict timetable for each part of the agenda.
  17. Encourage brevity. Ask people to circulate lengthy reports in advance by email. Let people give high-level summaries but don't let status reports turn into lengthy monologues. Try to focus on the information that the meeting as a whole needs to know.
  18. Learn from your successes (and your mistakes). After each meeting, spend a minute to ask everyone what went well and what they would change next time. Those who don't learn from bad meetings are condemned to repeat them.
  19. Use document templates. Microsoft Word 2007 has lots of templates you can use to create an agenda or minutes quickly. You can use these as a starting point for your own company templates.
  20. Use a computer to capture actions. An HP notebook or tablet PC with a projector is a great tool for capturing minutes and ideas in a meeting. Whiteboards and flipcharts are okay for capturing ideas during a meeting, but a computer never runs out of space and it's easy to add and delete new ideas as you go.
  21. Project rooms. If you are working on a long-term project, consider setting up a permanent project room where all the meetings for that project take place. You can cover the walls with relevant material and keep documents and files in it. Or you could have a meeting room with a project wall.
  22. Be a Microsoft® Office PowerPoint® 2007. Office PowerPoint 2007 puts the control in your hands to create great-looking presentations. The special two-monitor Presenter View lets your audience see the slideshow on a projector while your notebook displays speaker notes, the current slide and a clock – ideal for staying on track.
  23. Avoid 'same time, same place' meetings. Regular meetings create a sense of continuity but it's easy to lapse into bad habits – no agenda, no minutes, and a bloated invitation list. The best idea is to treat each scheduled meeting like a one-time meeting.
  24. Ban email in meetings. If people spend all day in pointless meetings it's easy to understand why they bring notebooks and answer their email; but if meetings are going to get shorter and more efficient, you'll need their full attention. Offer this deal: we'll cut meetings in half so you can give your full attention to the meeting now and your full attention to your email later.
  25. Use Outlook to schedule meetings. Office Outlook 2007 has several features that make organising meetings much easier. These include the ability to see group schedules and other people's calendars as well as the 'Plan a Meeting' tool which automatically chooses a mutually convenient time for a group.

A person called Fiaz (Accenture Employee) went to Anand Rao Circle, Bangalore ICICI bank ATM last Saturday and drew Rs. 4000/- cash and took a auto standing in front of the ATM.

After 2 Minutes of drive this auto driver stopped the vehicle and made a phone call on his cell phone. Our guy didn't bother much and thought the auto driver may have some urgency.

The auto was going towards Majestic and in the next signal 2 hefty guys and 1 beautiful girl rushed into this auto. 1 guy sat on the iron bar and the girl sat next to him and the other guy next to her. The guy sat on the iron bar branded a knife, the other guy caught his throat and the girl put her legs above his lap and held his hands. The guy with the knife started banging him on his face and he started bleeding ....our guy was speechless and they didn't stop beating...he was not able to even shout for help as the other guy caught on his throat !
The gang threatened him that if he shouts for help they will say that this guy is kidnapping the girl and the 2 guys came for rescue and auto driver is approver for that !!

They took his cash of Rs. 4000/-, took his watch and picked up his mobile. As the mobile was old model they returned to him ! All in the journey, while they kept beating him. After looting everything they pushed him from the auto in cubbon road and flew away. He was bleeding from his broken lip and didn't even note down the auto number becoz of the rude shock.
